So, my pregnancy hormones are still hanging around. How do I know this? Well, because I am going bald. Let’s just say I’m going to be Sinead O’Conner and not by my choice. I read that an average person sheds 100 hairs a day…well, mine is at least double that. I frantically looked up reasons why this is happening and found out that it’s all part of the wonderful pregnancy and post-pregnancy package. Beautiful locks while you are expecting and thin, falling out and into your husband’s food locks up to six months after you give birth. Gotta love hormones! It has to do with the hormones while you are pregnant keep you hair from falling out and so once you start the post-pregnancy shift, all of those hair strands start to come out since they really don’t belong there in the first place. So now there is hair everywhere in this house but on my head…well, I still have some, but at the rate I’m going, I’ll be bald by the end of the summer!
