Brook and Blake are with Abby for the day…sweet, glorious, wonderful Abby. So, today I am attempting to clean the house up, clean myself up and catch up on a few things. Oh, I’m also trying to kick this stupid cold too! Since the kiddies are not around, I can post the picture of the day a little earlier than normal…hooray for Mommy helpers! Abby doesn’t know this yet, but I am slowly trying to convince her that ASU is really the college she should be going to…She will have an instant job if she transfers “hint, hint!”
So I am actually posting two pictures that I took today…the first one is the actual Picture of the Day and will be the only picture counted in the collage that will be made when this project is all done. They are in their pajamas, of course, but Brook was adorable and wanted me to take a picture of her holding Blake’s hand. Soooooo sweet…she loves her brother so.

Brook and Blake Year In Pictures Day 8
Notice the over-sized Milwaukee Brewers baseball shirt Brook is wearing. She is wearing one of my t-shirts to bed as a special treat…or because I haven’t done laundry in forever and she has no clean pajamas….you pick the right answer. Anyway, she loved it and it reminded me of doing the same thing, only it had to be my Nana’s t-shirts…I loved them, they somehow felt more comforting. I think it was the love that flowed through the cotton (okay, sounds cheesy, but that is really how I felt). As an adult I think I wore them because they made me feel like a grown-up and they were like wearing a big Nana hug. Oh, I do hope Brook felt the same way last night.
So in an attempt to not get a pajama picture of the day shot…I took some pictures after they got dressed…yes, people I do know how to properly dress my kids and even in really cute stuff! This picture was not nearly as cute as the one above, that is why it didn’t make the cut, but it did get honorable mention.

See I Can Get My Kids Dressed For The Day!
They are looking up at Abby in this picture. I was trying to have her help me. I can never really get both of them to smile at the same time and I thought if she got Brook to smile and I got Blake to smile that I would have one stellar photo. But, in reality, we just got them to look over the camera and up at her. But, just notice the cute, fashionable clothing. Like nautical twins I tell ya!
